Greetings, readers. This post has been collecting dust in my Drafts folder for well over a month now, and I have only now gotten around to completing it. This morning I am presenting you, my followers, with a brand new award that was my own creation. Right now, I am going to be introducing this new award, its rules, and most importantly, the nominees! As many of you know, I do not normally post awards on my blog, but because I am creating my own brand new award, I decided it a worthy occasion. Without further ado, let us begin. I will be completing the award just as it is supposed to be done below.
Provide the link to the creator’s original award post. (very important: see why in step 5)
Answer the questions provided.
Create 7 unique questions.
Nominate 10 bloggers. Ensure that they are aware of their nomination. Neither the award’s creator, nor the blogger that nominated you, can be nominated.
At the end of 2020, every blog that ping-backs the creator’s original post will be entered to win the 2020 Outstanding Blogger Award!
No questions were provided, as this is the first Outstanding Blogger Award.
Would you rather go without meat or dairy?
What kind of music do you normally listen to?
Is there a specific word that sums up your blog?
What is a post on your blog that you want as many people as possible to see?
On a scale of one to ten, how would you rate the device you are writing this award post on?
Now, I will be choosing 20 bloggers rather than 10 to be nominated, so as to help this award take off. Nominees, please do not nominate any of these other nominated bloggers, so as to avoid duplicates:
There you have it; the first Outstanding Blogger award, done! If you were nominated, be sure to ping this post so you can be entered for the final award at the end of the year, and remember not to nominate anyone else in the list. Have fun, and thank you for reading!
Hello, readers. Today I come to you with a brand new opportunity to promote your blog or business. Have you been looking for a way to boost blog traffic/SEO or perhaps increase sales for your business? The perfect opportunity has arrived. I am about to tell you about an inexpensive yet effective means by which you can promote your blog or business.
Currently, as many of you know, my brother and I have a crowdfund running in an effort to fund our upcoming short film, Let’s Go Camping. As we have stated, we need your help to reach our goal. And now, you can help both our campaign and your blog or business at the same time! Simply Claim a Perk by donating a specific amount to our campaign and put your blog’s name or business in the “Other” tab of the Contribution Appearance section at the bottom of the checkout screen.
You will then receive a credits at the end of the film, on our YouTube, and on the film’s website, complete with your logo,. As the latter itself increases in traffic throughout the movie’s progress, your blog’s search ratings should increase from the ping-backs. As for businesses, we will have ads on our site for your business. By claiming the perk in addition, you will also receive a special reward dependent on which one you claim.
In conclusion, this is a Win-Win-Win: You are donating to a good cause, promoting your blog or business, and receiving the perk you claim — all in less than five minutes! You can find the campaign here, and if you need help or have any questions, feel free to let me know in the comments. Lastly, be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel to receive updates on the campaign and the project. Thank you all for your support!
I recently created several short tutorials on the basics of creating, maintaining, and optimizing a WordPress.com blog or website. When I first began using WordPress, I was thoroughly confused. It took me a while to figure it out without any assistance. For those who are still in the phase of trying to figure out the creation process a WordPress blog, or if you are just trying to improve the one you have, I highly recommend taking a look at these videos.
Starting a WordPress.com Blog:
Writing Posts & Pages:
Enhancing Your Blog’s Design:
WordPress User Interface:
Even if you already know how to use WordPress, please take a look at these tutorials and leave me some feedback below so I can improve them. Be sure to let me know what you like and dislike about the videos.
I also produced a short bonus video discussing how I produced these WordPress screencasts. Please tell me what you think of that as well:
Hello! I am just here to let you know that I have updated my “About Me” page, which I added several months ago. If you would like to check it out, click here, or use this (not very) helpful guide that I made to show you how to get there.
So, if you’ve ever wondered who in the world the guy who’s writing this stuff is, I recommend you check this out. With that, stay tuned for more essays coming soon, including Chapter 14.

It seems I have finally reached my second year-end goal, and with three weeks to spare at that. Thank you to all who have taken the time to read my posts. I certainly enjoy reading yours, so if you would like me to follow your blog, just place the link in the comments.
My first follower was Andromeda, on September 4, 2019. My last was amydwestphal, sometime today. Let’s pick a few random numbers now… my 23rd follower was fernembry, and my 44th, shaylyrhys. Finally, my 67th was mybookworld24. Yeah, I am not going to list all of them here. But you can find most of them on my post 65 Followers, that I hope it will link to in the recommended section, because I do not have the time to find it right now.
Well, keep reading, more is to come later this week, including stuff for the Academic Boot Camp!
P.S. Suggestions? How can I make things more fun and interesting around here, and in my work? Let me know!
First and foremost, this is not an invitation to unfollow this blog – please don’t! I am simply here to tell you about the other blog for which I am an admin, the DF Diplomat! The Diplomat is a blog site that was started by Sarah and myself for the RPC discussion forum. Here we include ideas and news from the forum, tons of tutorials on various topics, and much more! Please go check it out, and don’t forget to give it a follow! Thanks. :)
Well, it finally happened… I have reached fifty followers! It was very close, but I am pretty sure that lialai07 (Jaël’s Blog) was my fiftieth follower. She had been previously following but had encountered technical difficulties and somehow ended up becoming unfollowed. Otherwise, user abi lyn (Not of this World) followed just seconds before Jaël re-followed. Anyway, Abi Lyn is a Christian homeschooling blogger who runs the above mentioned blog, and I recommend you follow! There are a lot of interesting posts. :)
